Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
